Votive relief dedicated to Asclepius and Hygeia

Story of the object
This is a votive relief of the 1st-2nd century AD, dedicated from a woman named Tyche to Asclepius and Hygeia, presumably for curing her from some short of affliction of her left leg. It was found in an excavation in 1828, at the Asclepieion of Melos, an island of Cyclades, Greece.

The relief measures 30.48 cm x 20.32 cm. It is currently owned and displayed at the British Museum (Registration number 1867,0508.117 ). According to the Museum, it was purchased by its; previous owner Louis, Duc de Blacas d’Aulps in 1867.
