Project Results

The results produced by the ALCMAEON project are:

IO1 – Training Package in Medical History for Medical Humanities Lecturers
1) Map of Medical Humanities
A presentation of all the courses where history of medicine is a module integrated in a bigger course

2) Focus Groups
Different focus groups per country with medical history lecturers, medical education researchers, medical history researchers, and graduate medical students: 3) Questionnaire for Medical Students
A questionnaire to undergraduate medical students on the history of medicine training to identify barriers and facilitators in order to improve the learning of history of medicine.

4) Educational Material
A set of educational material organised in 12 units to be used by medical humanities lecturers in their courses.

5) Assessment Toolkit
5.1) Formative Evaluation: specific open-ended questions to evaluate the learning students after each unit and corresponding to the IO3 videos.
5.2) Summative Evaluation: a database of multiple-choice questions defining a specific benchmark in reason of each competence students identified in the stakeholders consultation.

6) Piloting Report
An evaluation report of the piloting with students of the educational material developed in the IO1.
IO2 – Collection for Digital Medical Museum
An interactive map that connects the developed educational contents with the objects of the digital collection.
IO3 – Virtual Video Library with Testimonials from Role-Model Doctors
A collection of videos with doctors and medical lecturers showing the role of history linked to the medical profession.

The quality plan identifies for each phase and transversal activity the relevant milestones and indicators of performances.
