Activity concerned:
IO1 - Training Package in Medical History for Medical Humanities Lecturers

Objectives of activities carried out:
This phase is devoted to the creation of a Training Package in Medical History to be adopted by Medical Humanities Lecturers and it is divided in different phases:

Map of Medical Humanities:
A presentation of all the courses where history of medicine is a module integrated in a bigger course

Focus Groups:
Different focus groups per country with medical history lecturers, medical education researchers, medical history researchers, and graduate medical students

Description of activities carried out:
IO1A: Map of Medical Humanities

We have analysed the mapping, contents, strategies and methods of distributing different contents of medical history on the road of teaching medical social sciences

We conducted research on the professional skills and competences of the ones that teach Medical History and the distribution of such content along the study years. Also we studied and collected data on teaching medical history and other social medical sciences on the following competences:
- Medical Communication
- Patient - Doctor Relationship
- Evidence-based Medicine
- Lifestyle and Public Health
in order to identify the best methods of interviewing such professional

IO1B: Focus Group

We participated in the Focus Group organised on 11 March as observers in order to see the problematic found relevant by the teachers out of the scientifically content, the problems and the solutions they found.

We conducted research and analysed the professional competences and job positions held by the invited ones.

Also we researched on the methodologies, the success cases and the evolution along the years of the themes and approaches on:
- Medical Anthropology
- Medical Psychology
- Medical history
- Bioethics
- Medical law

We used all these information as the basis for the guides but also in order to make them "learning objects" (images, pictures, objects, medical equipment on the historical path) that can be included by our academical partners in the short films they will make and EuroEd will edit.

EuroEd offered support for implementing the IO1.6) Questionnaire for undergraduate medical students. The support included, translation of the questionnaire, organization of the sessions to apply the questionnaires to the students, collecting feedback and answers, work in analyzing the answers received and filling in the responses templates.

EuroEd supported UMF Iasi in the production of the IO1.E - GUIDELINES FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE EDUCATIONAL MATERIAL , regarding the research and collection of data for the production of the Contemporary Medicine in Romania and the Case Scenario. Also supported the creation of the Formative Evaluation Questionnaire.

IO1.7) Development of contents of the first unit of the educational material
Based on the data produced, EuroEd offered technical support for the production of the ALCMAEON ppt. Contemporary Medicine in Romania UNIT 1. EuroEd worked in providing feedback, editing, translation and revision of the contents.

IO1.8) Development of contents of the second unit of the educational material
EuroEd offered the revision and editing support for the creation of the 2nd Unit under production from the Romanian team - World famous physicians and writers from Romania. The Case of Grigore T. Popa.
EuroEd developed the PPT based on Unit 2 World famous physicians and writers from Romania. The Case of Grigore T. Popa.

EuroEd supported the production of the replaced unit 12 - Biopolitics and eugenics - determining factors in a nation’s governing. EuroEd worked in setting up the table of contents, setting up the structure and the main contents to be included in the unit sectors. EuroEd worked in the research part for collecting inputs for the unit.

EuroEd was responsible for translation into Romanian of all the units ppts.
